- Does bidding on Finnting follow the law?AllYes — property bidding is built on eiendomsmeglingsloven (the Norwegian estate agency act), consumer information, a bid log and the 12 o'clock rule. Vipps identity is in demo mode today.
- How to place a bid on a homeAllRead the consumer information, confirm that the bid is binding, verify your identity, and set the amount, acceptance deadline and any conditions.
- What is a bid log?AllThe append-only, chronological log of all bids — complete for the seller and estate agent, anonymised for everyone else.
- What do acceptance deadline and the 12 o'clock rule mean?AllThe acceptance deadline is when the seller must respond by. The 12 o'clock rule: no deadline before 12:00 on the first working day after the last viewing.
- Do I have to verify my identity to place a bid?AllYes — identity is required with your first bid (BankID/MinID in real use). On Finnting this step is in demo mode today.
- Selling your home — how the bidding round worksAllYou see the full bid log live and accept or decline bids. Acceptance forms a binding agreement.
- Buying a home from a private seller?PrivateHomes marked "For sale by owner" are sold without an estate agent. Your rights are the same, but you should check the condition report, the land register and arrange a safe settlement yourself.
Safe trading & payment

- How does payment work — and is Vipps coming?AllBuyer and seller pay each other directly for the goods; Finnting does not handle the settlement. Card payment for Finnting's own services (Finnting+, boosting, seller badge) is active via Stripe. Vipps identity in bidding is in demo mode.
Account & alerts
- Saved searches and alertsPrivateSave a search and Finnting will alert you about new matches. Manage email and SMS alerts per search under Alerts.
- What is Finnting+?PrivateFinnting+ (formerly Premium) is an optional service — the main benefit is SMS alerts on saved searches. Email alerts are free for everyone. Planned price: 49 kr/30 days after 2027.
- Privacy on your accountPrivateWe collect little, never show your contact details publicly, and never store biometrics. You have full GDPR rights.
