Things you should never do

Bigger purchases — cars and homes

For cars: check the history and any registered liens with Statens vegvesen (the Norwegian Public Roads Administration), ask for the service booklet, and complete the change of ownership digitally. For homes: go to the viewing, read the condition report, and use an estate agent or a settlement agent for the settlement itself. More in Safe trading.
