Company profile and dealer profile
The company profile is your business's own page on Finnting — name, logo, description and your whole inventory in one place. The profile is tied to a Brønnøysund-verified organisation number and is shown with a badge (Dealer, Estate agent, Shop, Business or Employer) on listings and in search.
What the profile contains
- Legal name and organisation number — fetched from the Brønnøysund registers (Norway's central business registry) and locked to what is registered there. Buyers can click straight through to the register entry to confirm the business is real.
- Trading name — the name shown publicly on listings, the profile and in message threads. Set this to your brand name if it differs from the legal company name (e.g. "Solheim Auto" instead of "SOLHEIM BILFORHANDLER AS"). If you leave the field empty, the legal name is used.
- Business type — Dealer, Estate agent, Shop, Business or Employer — shown as a badge on listing cards and in search results.
- Logo and "about us" — who you are and what you offer, in your own words.
- Website and address — so customers know where to find you.
- All active listings — your whole inventory in one place.
How to edit the profile
Go to the Bedriftssenteret (Business centre) — log in and select your business account. There you can update the trading name, business type, website, address and the "about us" text. The legal company name and organisation number are locked to what is registered in the Brønnøysund registers — contact kundeservice@finnting.no if something there is wrong.
Brønnøysund verification — builds trust
When registering, you enter your organisation number. Finnting looks it up in the Brønnøysund registers and confirms it exists. That separates genuine businesses from random actors, and gives buyers a direct link to the register entry from your company profile.
